A good portrait takes more than good lighting. It takes time, conversation and the freedom to move beyond familiar poses and expressions.
Sessions at NO. 37 are relaxed and collaborative. We'll take time to talk, experiment with different approaches and make photographs that feel natural, expressive and distinctly yours.
Whether you need straightforward headshots for casting or something with a more editorial feel, we'll work together to create images that suit you and what you want to communicate.

What should I wear?
Bring a few different clothing options — ideally three or four — that you feel comfortable in.
Simple pieces often work best, but there's no need to dress as someone you're not. We can decide together what works best for the photographs.
You're welcome to bring references or ideas, but there's no need to arrive with a fixed plan.

Hair and makeup services aren't included, so please arrive ready for your session.
You're welcome to bring your own products for small adjustments or changes during the shoot.

Do I need experience in front of the camera?
Not at all. You don't need to know how to pose or prepare different expressions. I'll guide you when needed, and we'll find what works through the session.

After the session, you'll receive a link to a private online gallery containing a curated selection of proofs.
These photographs will have basic colour and exposure adjustments but won't be fully retouched yet.
You can mark your favourites and send me your selection directly through the gallery. Your session includes three finished images, and you're welcome to choose more for £20 each.
If you select more than 3 images, I'll send you a payment link for the additional photographs. Payment for any extra images must be completed before I begin retouching your selection.
Once you confirm your selection and I receive any additional payment, I'll start working on your final photographs.

Retouching
My retouching approach is deliberately subtle. I work with colour, contrast and texture to create a timeless, film-inspired finish, while keeping skin and facial features natural.
I can remove temporary blemishes and small distractions, but I don't routinely change facial structure or erase the characteristics that make someone recognisable.

Booking and payment
Sessions are booked online. Full payment is required to confirm your booking.

Rescheduling and cancellations
Booking payments are non-refundable.

If you can no longer attend, please contact me at least 48 hours before your session. You can reschedule, or you may keep your payment as booking credit toward a future appointment for the same service.
Booking credit is valid for 12 months from your original session date, and your rescheduled shoot must take place within that period. After 12 months, any unused credit will expire, subject to your statutory rights.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 48 hours' notice, or failure to attend without notice, result in a cancellation charge reflecting the loss caused by the missed appointment, up to the amount paid. Any remaining balance will be available as booking credit or refunded as appropriate.
Booking credit is personal, cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for cash, except where required by law. If session prices have increased when you rebook, you'll need to pay the difference.
If I need to cancel your appointment, I'll offer you a new date or a full refund.
Your statutory rights are unaffected.
