I'm Emil, a documentary and portrait photographer based in London.

My work is rooted in analogue photography and shaped by curiosity, observation and the connections I make with the people I photograph. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and finding ways to translate those encounters into images.
NO. 37 brings that experience into a space dedicated to actors, performers and creatives. Rather than following a fixed formula for headshots, I prefer a relaxed, collaborative approach that leaves room for conversation, experimentation and the unexpected.
Drawing on the qualities I love about analogue photography — texture, depth, subtle colour and a sense of timelessness — I bring that sensibility into my digital work, creating portraits that feel contemporary without being overly polished.
